Baked

"Baked" is informal North American slang for a pronounced, often heavily sedated state of cannabis intoxication, typically associated with high doses, potent concentrates, or edibles. It does not correspond to a distinct pharmacological category; it is a colloquial intensity marker on the same continuum as "high" and "stoned." In survey instruments used to measure cannabis effects, "baked" is sometimes elicited as an anchor for the upper end of intoxication intensity scales. Users describe reduced volition, heavy limbs, slowed speech, dry mouth, and marked appetite stimulation. Phenomenology is consistent with supra-therapeutic CB1 activation in cortical and striatal networks.
