Half (14g)

A half ("half-ounce," "half-O") is one-half of an avoirdupois ounce of cannabis — exactly 14.1748 g, sold as 14 g in legal retail. It represents the mid-upper tier of personal-use purchases in U.S. markets and, combined with smaller fractions, builds up to the 1-oz state possession limits common in the U.S. (Colorado, Washington, Oregon, California all cap adult-use possession at 28 g / 1 oz). Canadian packaging uses 14 g as a clean metric unit without reference to the imperial half-ounce. Note: The 14 g retail half is ~1.2% lighter than a true ½ oz (14.175 g).
