Adjective describing dense, crystalline trichome coverage across cannabis flower — specifically mature capitate-stalked trichomes that present as a white, sparkling, sugar-like dusting under light. "Frost" is visual shorthand for resin content; heavy frost correlates with, but does not alone determine, cannabinoid and terpene potency — genetics sets the ceiling. Now ubiquitous in dispensary marketing to the point that industry cultivation writers caution that "frosty" has become generic promotional language rather than a technical quality spec.
