Sherbert

"Sherbert" in cannabis culture refers to Sunset Sherbet, bred by Mario Guzmán ("Mr. Sherbinski") in the San Francisco Bay Area c. 2013 while collaborating with the Cookies Fam. The "Sherbinski" name is itself derived from the strain, which was named after the Sunset District where the Cookies breeding scene was centered. Lineage: Girl Scout Cookies × Pink Panties — Pink Panties is a Burmese Kush-descended clone-only line with Florida roots. Sunset Sherbet is the keystone parent in the dessert-strain lineage, direct parent of Gelato and grandparent to Runtz, Jealousy, and much of the 2018–2025 dispensary menu. It helped define the creamy-citrus-candy terpene archetype that displaced the older OG/Kush gas profile as the dominant commercial aesthetic.
