Chillum

A straight, conical hand pipe of South Asian origin used to smoke cannabis (charas) since at least the 18th century. Held vertically with both hands and drawn through a damp cloth filter (safi) in traditional sadhu practice. The Western version is typically a small glass tube without the cloth filter. Distinguished from a one-hitter by the conical (rather than cylindrical) shape and lack of a separate bowl.
