Blazed
Past participle of blaze ("to burn brightly"; Old English blæse, "flame, torch"). The cannabis verb blaze ("to smoke marijuana; to light a joint") is identified by Green's Dictionary of Slang as originating in U.S. Black and drug subcultures, spreading widely in the 1990s through hip-hop. Blazed as adjective ("intoxicated by cannabis") followed the same trajectory. Popularized further by the catchphrase "420, blaze it," derived from the San Rafael Waldos legend and 2010s internet and MLG meme culture.
