Ice water hash

Ice water hash is the technical synonym for bubble hash, emphasizing the extraction method rather than the dab-behavior observation that gave "bubble hash" its consumer-facing name. Industry usage has converged so that "ice water hash" is the producer- and lab-facing label while "bubble hash" dominates dispensary shelves and consumer conversation. Two production variants are commercially important. Live ice water hash is made from WPFF (whole-plant fresh-frozen) material — flower flash-frozen within hours of harvest — and preserves volatile monoterpenes that would otherwise be lost during conventional drying and curing. Cured ice water hash uses dried and cured flower. Typical yield from WPFF runs 3–8% of the fresh starting weight.
